Tomorrow my mom and I are headed to Hawaii for 5 days. My mom grew up there and my Grandma, Aunt and Uncle all live there. It’ll be a fun, relaxing trip with family and will be a nice vacation before I head up to Alaska. Since I just packed up all my belongings and shipped them to Alaska, I needed to plan my Hawaii clothes 2 weeks ago before the movers came. I also needed to pack light since anything I bring with me to Hawaii needs to go in another suitcase up to Alaska a few days later.
Straw Tote /Shorts / Straw Hat / Bikini / Sandals / Earrings / One Piece Suit / Dress / Sunglasses
So what’s all here in my ideal/mock suitcase (mine looks similar, just not with all these specific goodies)? A couple of suits, one for tanning and one for walking on the beach and paddle boarding. A straw hat to keep the sun out of my face while I’m reading 50 Shades of Gray I mean The Paris Wife. Fun sandals, earrings and sunglasses all thrown in a straw tote. And of course an easy cover up and some colorful shorts. There are some light tank tops and shirts in my bag also, but I tried to keep it as light as possible and pack in one color way (neutrals and light colors) so that I can wear things multiple times and with different options.
I’ll be taking lots of pictures, but posting may be a bit spotty over the next few days since I’ll be enjoying spending time with friends and family. Off to watch the Olympics before bed and pack my carry on!

Have a wonderful time & cherish the moments.. Such a journey!!
I read The Paris Wife last year while I was in Nice, and it is one of my favorites now.
