I’m one month down, can you believe it? I hardly can! The past month has seriously flown by. I’ve learned how to do laundry (if you wash everything in warm you can’t go wrong), clean a kitchen thoroughly and cook for two every night. It’s still kind of unreal to be reading in bed and look over at Q and think “There’s no deadline on this trip. This is forever.” We’ve been having a blast together. I haven’t laughed so much in a long time. This weekend we are heading to Anchorage to visit some of our friends there. And guess what’s in Anchorage? TARGET! That’s right, I’m going to get my retail therapy in while we are there!
Oh and it’s been a little chilly here recently…
And now food from today…
Breakfast – 8:00AM
I drove Q into work today and he rewarded me with a trip to Sunrise Bagels, my favorite drive through bagel spot up here. And yes, Alaska is awesome and has these little coffee and bagel drive through huts all year round. Life changing.Lunch – 2:00PM
I got stuck doing some paperwork on post and was starving when I got home. I went with an old favorite: Flat Out pizza with turkey pepperoni, mushrooms and low fat cheese and some salad on the side (I scarfed that down as soon as I got home hence the lack of a picture).Dinner – Last Night
Last night we had Crispy Tofu Brown Rice Bowls. Q of course supplemented his with a pork chop, but I loved every bite of my bowl. I’ll be posting the recipe this week, it’s one of my favorites!
